I grew up in David City, Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a fine arts degree in 1991. I started my career as a high school art teacher. I am now in my 30th year teaching high school art classes, including drawing, painting, sculpture and all forms of clay construction. I currently work and live in the Papillion-Lavista area in Nebraska.

Trying to balance my work, family and other passions hasn't allowed me much time for creating my own artwork. I finally decided to create a web site that motivates me and to share my ideas with you.

I specialize in raku -horsehair and saggar pottery. I love the unique ways the glaze and techniques create one of kind surfaces. The excitement of seeing a piece of work reveal itself for the first time, keeps me coming back for more.

If you are interested in purchasing a piece from me, I can create something for you simliar to what you see in my online gallery. Email me @ mlarnold@cox.net
